WHY TELEHEALTH ?
Telehealth is a convenient and effective way of delivering Occupational Therapy services remotely.
Receive therapy and support from the comfort of your home, eliminating the need for travel.
Telehealth increases access to quality care, allowing you to receive therapy from a highly qualified Occupational Therapist regardless of your geographic location.
Apply the skills you learn in therapy sessions directly in your real-life home environment, which can lead to more effective and lasting outcomes.
Studies show that telehealth interventions are beneficial for improving stroke survivors’ performance of every day tasks.
HOW TELEHEALTH WORKS
All you need is a device with internet access, such as a tablet or computer.
During the session, you will be able to see and talk to your therapist through video call.
Your therapist will build a plan based on your needs, create a personalized home exercise program, help you integrate your skills into daily tasks, recommend adaptive devices or robotics and, when indicated, assess your home environment to provide simple adaptations to facilitate use of your affected arm with daily activities.
